UNIBAG FRONT, NOSE CONES
The
purpose of the front, nose cones of our Unibags,
are to distribute the bags towing forces from
the front to the rest of the bag, and to transfer
the cargo safely in and out of the bag.

In table 1, the different front types of the Unibags
are given.
They are designed according to the bags weight,
exposure of towing forces and required filling
rate. OB0 is encapsulated in the Unibag, while
OB1, SK5 and SK10 are detachable from the Unibag.
All the fronts are designed to float separately
from the bag. The standard filling/discharge fitting
of the bag is a cam lock, male type. Other types
of fittings can be supplied as optional.
OB0
As shown in table 1, this front is normally used
for bags of 10 - 15 m3 sizes. The OB0 is encapsulated
into the bags` front, and has a filling/discharge
connection of 2.5". The OB0 is light and easy
to handle. A clamp is used in the AFT end of the
bag, to give access to the inside of the bag.
OB1
The OB1-front is normally used on bags of 25 -
40 m3 sizes, but can also be used on bags up to
100 m3 size. The OB1 is a low weight circular
detachable front, with a diameter of 300 mm. The
filling/discharge connection is a 4", male cam
lock. The front is light and easy to handle, and
the right choice when weight is important. A clamp
is used in the AFT end of the bag, to give access
to the inside of the bag.
SK5
The SK5-front is normally used on bags of
50 - 500 m3 sizes.
This is a large, strong and sturdy front.
The diameter of the SK5 is 600 mm. The filling/discharge
fitting can be 4" or 6" male, cam lock.
The SK5-front is normally delivered with
a 3" decanting connection, for discharge
of separated water in the Unibag.

SK10
The SK10 front is used for our biggest bag, the
Unibag 1000 m3. This is our biggest front, which
is similar to the SK5-front. The SK10, has a diameter
of 600 mm. The filling/discharge fitting is a
6" male, cam lock. The SK10-front is delivered
with a 3" decanting connection for discharge of
separated water in the Unibag. |
