UNIBOOM S-series Automatic inflated heavy-duty oil booms The UNIBOOM NO-450/600-S series represents a new concept in boom design and development. It is strong, compact and is stored on the reel for immediate deployment when speed is essential and is suitable for coastal waters and estuarine to offshore operations. The boom comes in two sizes, 450 mm and 600 mm freeboard and 650 and 800 mm skirt. When launched directly from the reel into the water, the pre-pressurized internal air spiral swiftly inflates the freeboard (5 meter chambers). 200 meters of UNIBOOM S-series is deployed in less that 2 minutes by one operator.   The UNIBOOM S-series is designed to provide excellent wave following characteristics combined with perfect buoyancy to weight ration for optimal entrapment and containment.   A secondary inflation system even allows the boom to be deployed without air inflation at all. An air hose running through the entire boom length inflates the five meter chambers when it is floating on the surface.   After use the UNIBOOM S-series is simply retrieved onto the reel by the operator, providing safety and minimum of deck space.
