Temporary storage systems - UNIBAG
UNIBAG
EMERGENCY RESPONSE STORAGE SYSTEMS
The
UNIBAG is a floating towable storage container
that can be deployed quickly, facilitating the
effective use of oil skimmers and recovery vessels.

Emergency offloading |
Portable, flexible and lightweight, the
UNIBAG can be used as an emergency
storage system in off-loading operations
after a collision or grounding.
The UNIBAG is available in capacities
of 5 to 1,000 m3

SKIMMING
OPERATIONS
To increase the effectiveness
of a clean-up operation, the presence of
sufficient storage equipment will greatly
maximize the amount of oil collected in
the critical first hours of the skimming
operation.
Enviro Teams Unibag is designed to be used
to increase the storage capacity of today's
skimmers and to transport the recovered
oil to safe storage either onshore or to
other vessels.
The Unibag can be manually developed and
dragged into the sea by a small boat, or
deployed from a crane or jetty. Once deployed,
it is ready to be filled. During filling,
the Unibag can be towed along side a ship
or streamed behind, depending on the operational
requirement. |

PORT,
HARBOUR AND SHORELINE OPERATIONS
Unfortunately many oil spills create a shoreline,
or near shore pollution, often despite efforts
to combat the pollution while at sea, still this
pollution has to be contained and recovered.

Discharging
of Unibag
A
small Unibag will provide even small tugs
or boats with storage capacity to operate
effectively. The Unibag`s very shallow draft
makes it an ideal tool in confined areas
such as estuaries, rivers, mud flats and
salt marshes etc.
If access to a shoreline is not possible
from the seaside, a Unibag can be laid on
a flat ground and filled to its maximum
capacity. |
